Oats dosa

Oats dosa is a nutritious and healthy version on the original South Indian, which is a fermented crepe like pancake prepared from rice and lentil batter. Oats dosa is a healthy because they are high in nutritional fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Oats dosa

Ingredients 4

  • 1 cup of quick cooking rolled oats (Jaee)
  • 5 tablespoon of ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 tablespoon of split black lentils (urad dal)

Method

  1. Blend oats and split black lentils (urad dal) in a mixture together.
  2. Add 1½ cup water and blend till smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture in a bowl, cover the lid, and keep aside to ferment for 10-12 hours.
  4. Then add salt and mix the batter well.
  5. Heat a non-stick tawa, sprinkle some water on it, and wipe with a cloth.
  6. Pour the batter on it and spread in a circular motion.
  7. Smear a tablespoon of ghee over it and along the edges.
  8. Cook on a high flame till it gets brown and crispy.
